Our Story: From Carpenter to Skincare Innovator In the mid-1990s, our founder, Bill Whyte, worked as a carpenter. His hands would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much that he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

How to Apply Badger Mineral Sunscreens To apply our sunscreens effectively, we recommend rubbing the product between your hands to warm it before applying. This will make the application easier. Apply directly to the skin, rubbing it in to protect the entire area and reduce any potential whitening.
For full protection, be sure to reapply at least every 2 hours. To cover your entire body, use about a shot glass-full for adults. Remember, the phrase "a little bit goes a long way" does not apply to sunscreen.
Which Badger Mineral Sunscreen is Right for You? We offer a variety of SPF 30 and SPF 50 options, including Sport, Daily, and Active Sunscreens, as well as an SPF 35 Sunscreen Stick and an SPF 15 Lip Balm Sunscreen. We also have an Organic Aloe Vera Gel to soothe and moisturize dry skin.
